KYOCERA AVX MultiGuard® varistors 2 and 4-element arrays are designed to protect multiple lines against ESD while saving board space and pick and place costs. These parts provide bi-directional protection against transient voltages as well as EMI/RFI filtering in single, multi-element array configuration. KYOCERA AVX MultiGuard® varistors combine the advantage of multilayer varistors with up to 75% of the PCB real estate savings and reduction in pick and place costs over discrete TVS chip solution.
Available in 0405 and 0508 2-element and 0612 4-element array size, working voltage from 5.6 to 18Vdc, peak current up to 30A and typical capacitance from 40 to 825pF. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C with no derating. Parts offer excellent lead free solderability thanks to Ni Barrier/100% Sn termination.
