KYOCERA AVX StaticGuard Automotive Series Multilayer Varistors are AEC-Q200 qualified lower capacitance version of TransGuard® automotive varistors for bi-directional ESD protection with the advantage of EMI/RFI attenuation in the off-state for automotive applications where lower capacitance is required. StaticGuard Varistors are designed for general ESD protection of CMOS, Bi-Polar and SiGe based systems. The low capacitance makes these products suitable for use in higher speed data transmission lines or other applications where lower capacitance is required.
Available in case sizes from 0402 to 0805, working voltage 18Vdc, energy up to 0.1J, peak current up to 30A and typical capacitance from 40 to 80pF. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C with no derating. Parts offer excellent lead free solderability thanks to Ni Barrier/100% Sn termination however, PdAg termination for hybrid assembly is also available upon request.
