Manager, Corporate EHSS – Environmental Programs

Location: Greenville, SC
Job Description:
Direct, develop, and coordinate global EHSS policies, initiatives, and activities. Working with the Corporate EHS Team members and local EHSS partners, this role will be responsible for leading programs that protect people from environmental hazards and workplace hazards, as well as protecting the environment from human hazards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support implementation of key safety and environmental management systems like ISO 45001 SMS, ISO 14001 EMS, and ISO 50001 EM.
  • Assist with the implementation and development of strategic plans and goals to improve overall EHS programs and performance.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal EHSS audits across our organization including tracking of all information and corrective actions.
  • Track global and plant level metrics regarding EHSS goals and initiatives, including GHGs, waste, water and safety performance.
  • Develop and deploy EHSS procedures and training programs to reduce injuries, reduce risk, and maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Participate in corporate EHSS initiatives including those associated with sustainability, employee wellness, interaction with the local community and visitors/contractors.
  • Be knowledgeable of EHSS regulations and pollution control processes.
  • Manage key EHSS projects, programs, and initiatives, including sustainability.
  • Provide thorough and timely follow-up to site incidents and ensure appropriate action item completion.
  • Prepare and conduct EHSS training programs and ensure proper records are kept.
  • Drive improvements to eliminate hazards in our facilities to create a zero-incident and risk-free workplace.
  • Lead continuous improvement opportunities either in work practices or work conditions.
  • Interact with KAVX management, legal, and regulatory agencies as needed relating to environment, health, and safety.
  • Maintain chemical tracker database and related documents.
  • Maintain databases for key EHS data- audit findings, hazard and near misses, heat maps, etc.
  • Lead continuous improvement opportunities utilizing best management practice, benchmarking, predictive analytics, employee recognition and the like.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
  • BS Degree is required, preferably with 5+ years of responsibility for multiple sites.
  • Experience with GHG reduction planning and Sustainability Initiatives a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in ESG, GRI, REACH, ROHS etc. also a plus.
  • Experience with EPA and related site cleanup programs desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time well, multi-task and troubleshoot in a constantly evolving work setting.
  • Be self-directed and detail-oriented, manage confidential information and be able to work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Good understanding and experience with O365 desktop applications.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50%.
