KYOCERA AVX offers ultra-low capacitance ESD protection in the Sub 1pF range for use in automotive circuits that are sensitive to capacitance. The Automotive Sub pF Varistor (ASPV) is available in 0.8pF capacitance value in a compact 0402 low profile package. ASPV devices provide excellent response time to ESD strikes to protect sensitive circuits from over voltage. The development of new information processing technologies call for ever increasing digital system speeds. Higher speeds necessitate the use of ultra-low capacitance values in order to minimize signal distortion.
Available in compact 0402 case sizes, working voltage 16Vdc and type capacitance 0.8pF. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. Parts offer excellent lead free solderability thanks to Ni Barrier/100% Sn termination.
